Is Akron Safe?
This is a difficult questions because it varies on location, like all big cities right? Quite a few of the inner city areas of Akron are economically challenged and the tendency of a higher crime rate comes along with that. It's because of crime that most people end up choosing the suburbs to reside in.
The top 10 most dangerous areas in Akron are:
#1- University of Akron
#2-Middlebury
#3- Downtown Akron
#4- Lane-Wooster
#5- Summit Lake
#6- South Akron
#7- East Akron
#8- North Hills
#9- Elizabeth Park Valley
#10- Kenmore

February is when you see the coldest days of the year, sometimes dipping below 0 degrees! March is when the temperate start to warm up and when it hits 50 degrees, you'll see everyone wearing shorts and tee shirts acting like it's summer time. April is usually the bipolar month and it tends to rain, snow, and sleet all in the same month. May is the official start of summer, but June, July, August is when the temperate are the warmest with temperatures getting in the 90s. WARNING: Humidity in Ohio is high, especially near lake Erie. September and October is the best time of year in Northeast Ohio with temperates at a prefect 70 degrees! Leaves are beginning to change, the sky is blue, wind is crisp, ahhhh its perfect!!
